Commercial Real Estate Book

Question
  • Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the commercial real estate industry?
My Story
  • After getting an engineering degree and an MBA  -- I have been fortunate to have many careers -- software engineer, marketer, strategist, and consultant - with some of America's largest companies.  Something was missing for me though but I did not know what. I dabbled in residential real estate on the side and still there was something missing.
  • I "accidentally" got into commercial real estate brokerage through a relationship which is about the only way you can get in.
  • Since then I have been fortunate to work for clients such as General Motors, Equifax, Aon, Combined Insurance, MasterCard, Verizon, Wachovia Bank, Mead Westvaco and many others
What I Like About Commercial Real Estate
  • Working with different people
  • Handling complex transactions
  • Being where the action is
Why I Wrote This e-Book
As a commercial real estate professional, I am constantly asked questions by people who want to know:
  • What I Do
  • How I Do It
  • How They Can Get Into The Industry
  • How Much I Make (Unasked)
They are frustrated by the lack of information on the commercial real estate industry and available careers and how to go about getting into the business.
  • Some are residential agents who dream of being commercial brokers
  • Some are residential investors who want to move up the ladder into bigger commercial projects
  • Some aspire to be developers
  • Some want to handle real estate finance and do the "big deals"
  • Some want to work in a corporate environment handling real estate for large companies
